The mission of the Library is to facilitate creation of new knowledge through acquisition, organization and dissemination of knowledge resources and providing for value added services. The Institute has an excellent library with huge repository of numerous latest books & number of titles on various academic and applied aspects of the study of Medical surgical nursing, fundamentals of nursing , obstetrics & gynecological nursing ,community health nursing ,nursing research, Pharmacology, Biostatistics, Nursing Management, and computer applications which include foreign and Indian editions and titles covering all functional areas in the course. Institute subscribes to number of journals, news papers, magazines etc. every year for the use of students and staff. Apart from borrowing books, you have access to the reference section collection mainly contains, encyclopedias, handbooks, dictionaries, directories, atlases, and some rare collections. In addition, students are also given access to digital library for further enhancement of knowledge.

LIBRARY SERVICES
  • Reprographic service is being offered to faculty members and students at nominal rate.
  • Internet Service - 2 systems are dedicated for internet service in Library and more systems are available in the computer lab with internet facility for the students.
LIBRARY RULES
  • General books are issued to all eligible members as per their entitlements.
  • Reference books, bound volumes, are issued only to staffs.
  • Loss of book must be reported immediately. Late fees, if any, will be charged till the loss of book is reported. If the original library book is returned after reporting it lost, the fine will be calculated till the date of its return
  • While entering the library, readers should leave their personal belongings, such as bags, brief-cases, personal books, and parcels near the counter reserved for this purpose. However, they can carry loose papers and note books.
  • Readers should maintain peace in the library and should not disturb other users in any way.
  • Readers should not deface, mark, cut, mutilate or damage library material in any way. If anyone is found doing so, he will be charged the full replacement cost of the material
LIBRARY SECTIONS

Library has three separate section –ie , M. Sc reading area , staff reading area and common reading area. It has separate reference sections for both students and faculties. The latest journals both National & International and periodicals are available in the reading room.
